Things NOT to bring to the Grand Magnolia Lagoon
  • Outside food and beverages, including water bottles
  • Sporting equipment (footballs, soccer balls, volleyballs)
  • Tents and canopies
  • Coolers
  • Swim rafts, noodles, and inner tubes (any inflatable items)
  • Glass containers, aerosol cans
  • Firearms, ammunition, knives, and weapons of any kind
  • Self-defense or restraining devices (e.g., pepper spray and mace)
  • Marijuana, including marijuana-enriched products, or any illegal substance
  • Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects
  • Horns, whistles, large megaphones, or artificial noisemakers
  • Recreational devices such as drones, remote-control toys, skateboards, scooters, and roller skates
  • Suitcases, bags, or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24” long × 15” wide × 18” high
  • Non-Coast Guard-approved flotation devices
  • Household pets – licensed service pets only
Things to bring to the Grand Magnolia Lagoon
  • Beach towels and blankets
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, swim cover-ups, and protective gear

Weather and Umbrella Policy
  • The Grand Magnolia Lagoon will remain open on most rainy days. In the event we must close the park entirely (for the entire day) due to severe inclement weather such as heavy rain, wind, or lightning, we will issue all ticket holders a rain check ticket to be redeemed on any future date of their choice.
  • If the wind reaches or exceeds 14 mph, umbrellas and some water activities will be suspended for safety reasons.

I acknowledge that my image, likeness, and the sound of my voice, as recorded on audio or videotape, may be used for marketing and promotional purposes without payment or any other consideration. I understand that my image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed, and I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product in which my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of my image or recording. I also understand that this material may be used in diverse settings within an unrestricted geographic area.

Can I use cash anywhere on-site?

No. Cash is not accepted anywhere on Lagoon property. This includes ticketing, concessions, bars, retail, rentals, and parking.

Is there a designated smoking area?

There is no smoking on the premises. This is a non-smoking facility.

Can I bring my pet or service animal?

Common household pets are not allowed. Please leave your furry loved ones at home!

Service animals: Under Texas law and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), people with disabilities may bring their service animals to all public accommodations. Upon entry, patrons with service animals may be asked what service the animal was trained to provide. Please note that entry does not mean access to the water. No service animal will be allowed inside the lagoon. No exceptions. While on the premises, all owners are required to maintain control of and clean up after their service animals at all times. If the service animal is disruptive or not under control, its owner will be asked to leave the premises. Under the ADA, a service animal is a dog that is individually trained to perform tasks or do work for the benefit of a person with a disability. The tasks or work the animal performs must be directly related to the person’s disability.

Unaccompanied Minors

Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). For safety, we recommend that all minors be accompanied.

Can I bring an umbrella or canopy?

No, personal umbrellas, tents, and canopies are not allowed.

Can I bring a cooler? What about food and drinks?

No. Outside food, beverages (including bottled water), and personal coolers are not allowed. We will have a full menu with a variety of meal and snack options, as well as a full bar, including non-alcoholic beverages. There are exceptions for medical and other dietary requirements.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Please come dressed appropriately in clothing designed for water recreation and swimming. Swimwear must be family-friendly, not overly revealing, and acceptable to community standards. Swimsuit tops are required at all times. Sheer items must have appropriate swimwear worn underneath. Pasties or other body-adhering wear are not acceptable. T-shirts, cover-ups, and swim shoes are permitted.

How deep is the lagoon?

The lagoon is deepest at 10 feet, where watercraft rides and sporting activities take place. Designated swimming zones vary between 5–6 feet, depending on their location within the lagoon.

Are we allowed to bring jet skis, kayaks, or paddleboards to the lagoon?

No. Only National Sailing Club equipment, such as our paddleboards, kayaks, aqua cycles, etc., is allowed in our non-swimming areas and may be launched from the floating dock. As for jet skis, those are used only for entertainment purposes during our weekend water shows.
